These Terms govern your use of this website and any service offered by What Works Psychology. By submitting a form or engaging us for consulting, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

1. Who we are

What Works Psychology is the trading name of Dr Henry Briscoe, a sole trader and HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist based in the United Kingdom.

You can reach us at contact@whatworkspsychology.co.uk.

2. What we offer

What Works Psychology provides, through this website:

  • A free conversation. A psychologically informed conversation with business owners and leaders about what makes them effective. It is exploratory and developmental. It does not constitute clinical psychology, therapy, or mental health treatment.
  • Consulting. One-to-one and team work applying performance psychology to individuals, teams, and leadership, by separate agreement.

3. The conversation

The conversation offered through this site is provided free of charge and at our discretion. It is intended to be useful and reflective, but it is not a clinical assessment, a diagnosis, or a substitute for professional psychological, medical, legal, or regulatory advice. Any observations shared are for your own reflection, and any decisions you make on the basis of them remain your own.

4. Consulting engagements

Consulting work is offered separately from the free conversation. Each consulting engagement is governed by its own engagement letter or written agreement, setting out the scope, deliverables, fees, timing, and any data processing arrangements specific to that piece of work. These Terms apply to any pre-engagement contact through the website, but the engagement letter governs the work itself.

5. Intellectual property

All materials, content, and resources provided through this website or any consulting engagement are the intellectual property of What Works Psychology. This includes (without limit) frameworks, templates, written observations, and digital resources.

You may use these materials for your own personal or professional development, and within your own organisation, only. Reproduction, distribution, resale, public posting, or use in any commercial context aimed at a third-party audience is prohibited without our prior written permission.

6. Limitation of liability

The conversation and any consulting work are developmental and supportive in nature. They do not constitute professional psychological, medical, clinical, legal, or regulatory advice for any individual case. Results may vary depending on your specific circumstances and the effort you apply.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, What Works Psychology shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from your use of this website, the conversation, or any consulting deliverable. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

7. Data protection

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Notice. By submitting a form on this website, you agree to the collection and use of your data as described there.

The website itself runs on Google Workspace infrastructure: Google Apps Script and Google Sheets handle form submissions. The page loads no external fonts, scripts, or analytics.

We may add or change providers in future (for example, a dedicated email tool). When we do, we will update the Privacy Notice before the change takes effect.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in what we offer or in the law. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website or our services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by English law. Any disputes arising from these Terms, your use of the website, or your participation in any service offered by What Works Psychology will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
